Holes for Homes
What a Day on the Green!
On July 9th, under the blazing summer sun, we welcomed 156 golfers and more than 20 dedicated volunteers to the Lorette Golf Course for our 2025 Women Build – 16th Annual Holes for Homes Golf Tournament. Despite the heat, spirits were high, drives were strong, and the sense of community was even stronger.
Thanks to your incredible support, we raised over $30,000 that will help build a safe, affordable home for Jacq and her son Asher. Your participation helps turn dreams into reality, and together, we are building stronger families, lasting memories, and resilient communities.
Originally from the Philippines, Jacq and Asher immigrated to Canada in 2012 in search of new opportunities. Jacq, a trained occupational therapist, chose to begin working right away to build stability for her family. Since 2016, she has worked in an administrative role with an IT consulting firm where she is highly valued. Until now, she and Asher lived in an unsafe downtown rental that lacked the security every family deserves. Now, Jacq is purchasing her very first home, a place where she and Asher can finally feel safe and secure. She has also volunteered on the Pandora build site, showing her deep commitment to her future neighborhood.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this event such a success:
- To our generous sponsors, whether you’ve supported us for years or joined us for the first time, your generosity and commitment to Women Build means the world.
- To the Lorette Golf Course team, thank you for once again providing a welcoming and well-run experience.
- To our volunteers and organizers, we’re so grateful for your behind-the-scenes efforts that kept the day running smoothly.
- And of course, to every golfer who joined us for a day of fun, community, and purpose!
A special shoutout as well to all the companies who contributed prizes and player bag goodies, adding thoughtful touches that made the day even more memorable.
From longest drives to poker tosses and everything in between what a fabulous time we had!
Let’s do it again next year!
