what is a Habitat Team Build?
Habitat Team Build Days are ideal for groups who are looking to give back to the community in a meaningful way, while learning new skills. We invite participants of all skill levels and abilities to join us on our build sites, no construction experience or gear required. We take care of it all, from registration to tool belts so you can enjoy memorable building day while making a real difference in the lives of hard-working, low-income Habitat Partner families.
The 2025 team build day season runs from May 7th to Nov 1st and we can accommodate teams of 10 to 50 people with customizable programs to meet your employee engagement and team building objectives.
Participants get the opportunity to work in collaborative groups to complete building tasks and accomplish something meaningful for their community.
safety first
Your team’s safety is our priority! All participants are required to complete online safety training and attend the morning safety talk at the build site. Our Habitat Manitoba staff and volunteers will ensure that you are safe throughout the day. All participants are suited up with safety gear, trained, and coached through a variety of construction tasks, all while having fun.
what to expect?
You can look forward to a productive and exciting day on the build site.
8:15 am
Participants arrive at the site and sign in. You will be outfitted with personal safety gear.
8:30 am
Welcome and safety briefing. This is when you’ll be assigned your tasks for the day.
12:00 pm
Lunch time! There is a catered lunch included with your build day, as well as snacks, and water available throughout the day.
3:45 pm
Clean up begins.
peer to peer fundraising for your habitat team build day
Participants can fundraise online to collect donations towards their team build goal. Upon registering, you will receive a confirmation email that will provide you with the various ways your supporters can donate towards your team.
