The Build a Future campaign started in 2014 and is an integral part of the Women Build program.

The Women Build program introduces women to Habitat Manitoba construction site(s), and through mentorship and training encourages women to assume leadership roles while building Habitat homes. Women Build welcomes all ages and genders, and are proud of their inclusivity. They promote solidarity and pride in the community, working alongside each other to build affordable houses for deserving Habitat Partner families.

Since Women Build was established in 2005, this dedicated group of volunteers and supporters have raised close to $1.9 million dollars. In 2023, the Women Build program reached a monumental milestone by sponsoring their 20th home for Surafel and Wubete, and daughter Maidot. Maidot is a bright student with dreams of becoming a lawyer. This fills her parents with pride and serves as an inspiration for the family’s determination to provide her with a stable and supportive environment to assist her in attaining her goal.

Every dollar you donate will be used towards the construction of the 21st Women Build sponsored home, making an incredible impact in the lives of Habitat Partner families in the community.
