The Portage la Prairie Chapter completed its first Habitat home in 2006 and has since built a total of 13 homes for local families. The chapter’s success is driven by a dedicated team of volunteers who support every stage of the process – from fundraising and family selection to build planning and construction – ensuring each project is brought to life with care and community spirit.

Plans for 2026 – The chapter has selected its partner family for their next home build and plans to begin construction as early as possibly in 2026, with completion anticipated by the end of the year.

Meet our next partner family – Pinky, Nicole, and their daughter! This wonderful family is eagerly looking forward to the start of construction on their future home in Portage la Prairie. Building is expected to begin in May 2026, and we can’t wait to celebrate each milestone with them.
