Volunteers are the heart and soul of Habitat Manitoba.

Our Habitat homes are truly the homes that love built. They’re constructed almost entirely by caring volunteers, with the support of dedicated, skilled Habitat for Humanity Manitoba staff. It takes many caring hands to build a Habitat home. Whether you’re a contractor or have never picked up a hammer in your life, we can use your help!

We’ve missed you and we’re beyond excited to welcome you back for another incredible season of building homes, community and hope! I’m happy to share that the 2026 volunteer season will start on May 5th!

Registration Opens: April 1 at 9:00 AM
Build Season: May 5 – October 30
Volunteer Blitz Build: August 10 – 14 at 610 Panet Road – only 30 spots available so we ask that you sign up early to ensure you get a spot!

Big News for 2026!

This year, we’re expanding our impact by building on two active Habitat Manitoba construction sites:

  • 900 Pandora Ave West – Our largest home building project in Habitat Manitoba’s history, entering its final stretch  
  • 610 Panet Road – Our newest build site, kicking off its first full season  


When registering, please double check the site address listed on each event to ensure you’re signing up for the correct location.  


Volunteer Requirements:

In order to register as a construction volunteer, you will need to:

  • Be 16 years of age or older
  • Commit to a minimum one full day of building|
  • Complete the online safety training
  • Be able to follow instructions and work independently
  • Be able to climb stairs, navigate uneven ground and have good mobility
  • Be able to use and understand conversational English
