Whether you’re an experienced tradesperson or trying something new, your time and talents can help build a home for a local family.
2026 Build Season Has Come to a Close
Thank you to everyone who joined us on the build site this year! Our 2026 volunteer build season has officially wrapped up, and build site volunteer opportunities are now closed for the season.
We are incredibly grateful to the hundreds of volunteers who dedicated their time, energy, and passion to helping build safe, affordable homes for Manitoba families. Your hard work and commitment make affordable homeownership possible, and we couldn’t do it without you.
Stay tuned for information about 2027 build site volunteer opportunities, which will be announced next spring. We look forward to welcoming you back to the build site. Until then, there are many ways to support Habitat’s mission, including making a gift that helps more Manitoba families build a brighter future.

Volunteer Requirements
To register as a build site volunteer, you must:
- Be 16 years of age or older
- Commit to a minimum of one full day of building
- Complete online safety training
- Be able to follow instructions and work independently
- Have good mobility and be able to navigate a construction site, which includes uneven ground, climbing stairs, bending, lifting, etc.
- Be able to understand and communicate in conversational English
