Habitat Manitoba's Impact in the Community
In 2025, we are on track to present keys to at least 26 families in Winnipeg and across Manitoba. In Winnipeg, we are currently building a 55-home project on Pandora Avenue West in Transcona that will house approximately 275 people, including 175 children. This project is a beacon of hope for families caught in the housing crisis. 15 families have already moved into their homes and we look forward to welcoming another 20 families home in 2025. We are scheduled to complete the final 20 homes in 2026.
Your generous support directly impacts the number of families we serve and the homes we can build each year in Manitoba. Habitat Manitoba relies on four sources of revenue to continue building homes for low-income families in the homeownership program: fundraising through events, programs and campaigns, partnerships with various organizations, government support, revenue from the three ReStore locations, and mortgage payments from existing homeowners.
Through Habitat Manitoba’s affordable homeownership program, we offer families a hand up, empowering them to build strength, stability and self-reliance. Meet some of the incredible the families here.
