Habitat Manitoba's Impact in the Community

  • The year marks the completion of our largest development to date, the 55 home Pandora Avenue West community in Transcona. As that project concludes, we are preparing for the next phase of Habitat Manitoba’s work across Winnipeg and the province which includes infills, retrofits, major developments and chapter led builds in rural communities. With your support, Habitat for Humanity Manitoba plans to build 31 homes in 2026, making this one of our most ambitious build years to date. Each home provides a stable, affordable foundation where families can build strength, independence, and long-term security.

  • Your generous support directly impacts the number of families we serve and the homes we can build each year in Manitoba. Habitat Manitoba relies on four sources of revenue to continue building homes for low-income families in the homeownership program: fundraising through events, programs and campaigns, partnerships with various organizations, government support, revenue from the three ReStore locations, and mortgage payments from existing homeowners.

  • By working with local families to meet their housing needs, we also help them solve other problems. With a stable home and fixed address, residents have access to better health care, education, employment opportunities and community services. Meet some of the incredible the families here.
