The difference your support makes

  • During 2021, 16 families purchased new homes from Habitat in communities across the province. We safely welcomed back 965 construction volunteers to our build sites who contributed more than 7,200 hours of work.

  • In 2022, our Affiliate plans to build up to 35 homes with projects in Winnipeg, Rosenort, Landmark, Brandon, Winkler, Morden, Portage, and Dauphin.

  • Since inception, Habitat has built homes for 458 families in Manitoba and for three families in Kenora. Collectively, they house more than 1,400 children. We are very grateful to our amazing sponsors, donors, partners and volunteers as we could not do what we do without you.

Women Build

Women Build empowers women from all walks of life to come together in a shared mission to help families in need of a decent and affordable place to call home. Whether building or fundraising, women from all walks of life come together to build affordable homes for families to purchase. By bringing women together to help build Habitat homes, Women Build promotes solidarity and pride in our city, working alongside each other to build new affordable housing. Women Build also introduces women to home construction, and through mentorship and training encourages women to assume leadership roles on the construction site.

The funds needed to construct Women Build homes are raised by an amazing committee of women who fundraise all year long through various events and campaigns, and then they come together to work on building the home. In 2022, construction will begin on the 19th Women Build sponsored home in Winnipeg and you can be a part of the build experience too!
