Women Build Handbag Bingo – A Night of Fun and Purpose

A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who made this year’s Women Build Handbag Bingo such a success. To our incredible supporters, enthusiastic bingo players, dedicated volunteers, and generous sponsors: Qualico, Jones & Company, and the Norberry-Glenlee Community Centre.

With 142 players filling the hall, the evening was full of energy, laughter, and community spirit. Together, we raised over $12,000 in support of Habitat’s Women Build program, helping to build a safe, affordable home for Jacq and her son, Asher.

Jacq is thrilled to be purchasing her first home, a place where she and Asher can feel safe and secure. She has been actively involved in Habitat builds, working alongside future neighbours to help construct homes in the Pandora Avenue West development in Transcona — the very community where her family will soon live. Her dedication to Habitat Manitoba and her new neighbourhood is truly inspiring.
