who we are

We are currently looking for a talented student photographer to join us for our upcoming 2026 build season, which runs from May to October. This is a great opportunity to build your portfolio while supporting a meaningful community cause. During the season, we host hundreds of volunteers and Team Build Day participants to help construct homes for families in our community.

  • Schedule: We will provide you with a list of groups and build dates one month in advance so you can plan your schedule accordingly.
  • On-Site Tasks: Capturing high-quality photos of volunteers in action and taking coordinated group photos for each team.
  • Organization: Because we often have more than one group on-site per day, you will need to batch and deliver photos specifically for each group.
  • Timing: Typical build days run from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, though photography needs are often most critical during active building and group shots from 10-11 am, depending on the groups out that day. Flexibility is important. We may need the photographer to come out at other times of the depending on what’ happening on the day of.  

  • A student photographer looking to gain experience in event and action photography. Lighting, comfortable taking an arrangement of photo styles, and a mix of vertical and horizontal photographs is needed.
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines on an active construction site (PPE will be provided).
  • Strong organizational skills to ensure each corporate partner receives their specific team photos.
  • The ability to climb ladders and stairs and be comfortable with heights.
  • Someone who’s energetic, outgoing and comfortable interacting and engaging with individuals in order to capture quality photos.
