Women Build
 Women Build is a program that promotes women as leaders. Volunteers are responsible for planning, fundraising, and providing the labour to construct their sponsored home.
Women Build is not about excluding men: it is about including women. Women of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to volunteer in a non-traditional capacity – construction! It allows participants to learn new skills and trades in a comfortable environment.
Women Build has constructed over 1400 homes by the end of 2008 worldwide, six of which are here in Winnipeg.
Goal:
Habitat for Humanity Women Build, must raise a minimum of $100,000 to build a home for Cynthia and her three children in 2009. |

How can you help?
Become a Women Build sponsor! As a Habitat sponsor your group can meet and work with the Habitat Homeowner, participate in the groundbreaking, raise the first wall and join the family as they receive the keys to their new home. To learn more about sponsorship, please contact (204) 233-5160.
As an individual or team, use our on-line peer-to-peer fundraising tool to raise funds for Women Build. It will allow you to easily create a personal homepage and email it to your family and friends to request secure online donations.

- Departments can issue fundraising challenges.
- Create a sense of community as you fundraise towards a common goal.

Women Build 2008
Habitat for Humanity Winnipeg’s Women Build team was back for their sixth home build this year! This enthusiastic group of women joined together to form a fundraising committee as well as doing the hands-on construction of their sponsored home.
Major supporters of the 2008 Women Build include: Kinsmen Clubs of Winnipeg, Platinum Jets, Winnipeg Police service Women, Cambrian Credit Union, NC Machine & Tool, Alsip’s Industrial Products Ltd., and S & J Construction Ltd.
