Hat's Off to You!
HFHW receives grant of $50,000 from Manitoba Real Estate Association!
Habitat for Humanity Winnipeg CEO, Sandy Hopkins accepts a $50,000 cheque from MREA Chair, Tom Fulton.
Habitat Winnipeg gratefully accepts this significant grant of $50,000. It will be used to fund an entire heating system which includes the furnace, ductwork, HRV and installation on 10 of the energy efficient LEED® homes being built this year.
Habitat for Humanity Winnipeg returns from National AGM with two awards!

Over three hundred people at the Habitat for Humanity Canada National Conference and AGM, witnessed Vern Koop receive the Kenneth J. Meinert Award--the highest award that Habitat for Humanity Canada bestows on an individual. When Vern's accomplishments were read to the audience, he received a standing ovation. After he humbly accepted the award and delivered a wonderful thank you speech, he received a second standing ovation.
Habitat Winnipeg was also selected as the Canadian Affiliate of the year for 2009. Everyone on the Board and staff contributed to this award, as it was very much a team effort. Congratulations to all for their skill and dedication. The plaque will hang proudly on the wall in the HFHW reception area.
