Habitat for Humanity Winnipeg Can Solve Your
'Team Building' Woes

Habitat for Humanity Winnipeg (HFHW) has the perfect solution to helping you build stronger, better relationships within your organization—take our Adopt-a-Day Challenge!

Adopt-a-Day Challenges take place during our last phase of construction and will have your team working on such tasks as painting, landscaping, fencing, dry walling, insulating, and much more.  Habitat provides experienced leadership to guide Adopt-a-Day participants through construction tasks and our leaders will be onsite with your team throughout the day.

Our Adopt-a-Day Challenge can be one of the most economical team building events your organization has access to.  Our Adopt-a-Day Challenges are done on a suggested donation basis and are usually in the $1,000 to $5,000 range dependant on the number of people you would like to have participate. An organization can decide to cover the full donation to HFHW or have its employees or members participate in internal fundraising events such as Casual Days or payroll deduction and then match the raised funds.

So Habitat gets your organization’s help physically and financially to finish a new home for a local low-income working family what do you get in return? Along with taking part in a team building event that doubles as a great corporate responsibility activity, those organizations taking the Adopt-a-Day Challenge receive recognition in Habitat’s annual report, e-newsletter, mailed newsletter, as well as on our very busy website.

Additionally, your organization will receive a team photo of your group on the construction site, a professionally designed and mounted photo collogue, and a Habitat t-shirt for each volunteer.  Habitat will also provide refreshments for two coffee breaks as well as a full lunch.

For HFHW’s 2008 build season, there is still space for 26 organizations to take an Adopt-a-Day Challenge— but these dates are filling fast!  If your workplace or group is interested in taking the Adopt-a-Day Challenge, please contact Kim Wilson at kwilson@habitat.mb.ca or by calling (204) 233-5160, ext. 215.
