 Manitoba Lotteries Corporation 2008 Habitat Photo Album
Habitat for Humanity Winnipeg (HFHW) is pleased to welcome Manitoba Lotteries
Corporation (MLC) back for their second
consecutive year of home sponsorship!
For 2008, MLC has donated $125,000 towards the construction of HFHW's first fully accessible house which will be the new home of Phil and Eilyn and their young son Matthew who suffers from severe cerebral palsy.
Construction on the 1000 square foot bungalow began in late April using insulated concrete form technology provided by LOGIX. A team of over 100 MLC employees participated in a weeklong blitz build held May 31 - June 7 and during this short time, the enthusiastic group was able to raise and complete the roof and interior walls as well as install the home's windows, doors, and vinyl siding.
MLC employees will return to the Adsum Drive build site in August for a week of finishing work. Phil, Eilyn, and Matthew are scheduled to take possession of their new home this coming fall.
