Women Build is a program that promotes women as leaders. Volunteers are responsible for planning, fundraising, and providing the labour to construct their sponsored home. The goal every year is to raise enough money through fundraising events to build a Habitat home. Women Build is not about excluding men: it is about including women. Women of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to volunteer in a non-traditional capacity - construction! It allows participants to learn new skills and trades in a comfortable environment.
Women Build has constructed over 1400 homes worldwide, seven of which are in Winnipeg.
