At Habitat for Humanity Manitoba, our vision is to provide families with a foundation for positive change through affordable housing. We work with people from all walks of life to build safe, decent, affordable homes for purchase by low-income working families.
We are presently accepting applications for a Special Events Coordinator to join our office team.
The Special Events Coordinator will meet with liaison for all fundraising committees and report to CEO on all committee requests.
MANAGE SPECIAL FUNDRAISING EVENTS
- Responsible for planning and overseeing the execution of the Annual Fundraising Events as assigned by the CEO
- Work very closely with CEO, Manager, Communications; Manager, Volunteer Services and Director, Finance to successfully meet goals.
MANAGE THIRD PARTY EVENTS
- Promote individuals and organizations to host and manage events that name Habitat for Humanity Winnipeg as the beneficiary
- Utilize the online programs and tools to support new third party events
FUNDRAISING COMMITTEES
- Act as liaison for all assigned committees and help to determine “Action Plan” prior to next meeting, and do follow-up in timely manner to ensure all requests are met
- Report all committee “Action Plans” to CEO in a timely manner and on a monthly basis
- Maintain an organized record for all committee minutes
- As Committee Liaison you are responsible for:
- Provide Habitat perspective on committee ideas and initiatives
- Arranging meetings
- Booking meeting room well in advance
- E-mailing all members about meetings
- Agenda Preparation
- Order in food for meetings when required
- Set up and take down of the meeting room
This is a temporary position with the potential to become fulltime
